  The Des Moines Register, May 03, 1994, Page: 5. Obituary: Alyce A. Anderson, 70, of Grinnell died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson, a native of Brooklyn, lived in Newton before moving to Grinnell in 1992. She was a saleswoman for Newton companies including Miller-Whol, Kinney Shoes and Vernon Co. She was also a member of the Newton Moose Lodge and Grinnell Grandmothers Club. Surviving are her husband, William; three sons, [W.A.] of Cameron, Mo., Richard of Grinnell and Larry of Newton; a brother, D.W. Newton of Garland City, Ark.; a sister, Leota May Baker of Newton; and six grandchildren.
