      Betty Miller
      Betty Miller 1925 ~ 2007 Betty Lela Esther Painter Miller died on April27, 2007 at the age of 81. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Muhr,Mary Chambers, Charlotte Miller and Lewis Miller; by her 10 grandchildren- Ben, Jill, Kate, Megan, Molly, Nic Annie, Bina, Chloe and Ian; twogreat grandchildren- Olivia and Elle; and by her siblings - Iris, Bob,Bill, Mary, George, Jim, Joe, Jon and Charlotte. Three siblingspredeceased her - Howard, Vanda and Helen. Betty was the daughter ofHoward Andrew and Sylvia Pearl Painter. She grew up on a farm andgraduated from high school in New Bloomfield, Missouri and she taughtnearby. She moved to St. Louis with her husband, Lewis, where she raisedher children. She loved her family, baseball and politics. In the 1960sshe supported George Wallace with the same veracity that she supportedJesse Jackson in the 1980s. As a teenager, she often corresponded withDizzy Dean about the St. Louis Cardinals. She has lived with her siblingsand children in many different places, including Buffalo, San Jose, SaltLake, Tulsa and San Antonio. While she lived in Salt Lake she attendedthe Calvary Baptist Church. James Tobin, who predeceased her, was thelove of her life.
